OK you guys. Econo-Girl is going to tell you a secret. There is no fourteen-year-old girl in America who is going to meet you for anonymous sex. Anywhere. At all.
I know, I know, you have frustrated dreams of early adolescence you never resolved. We get it. We just don't care.
This fact does lend credibility to all the cries of "I never did this kind of thing before!" Of course you didn't. No fourteen-year-old girl wants anonymous sex. Period. So the only meet-ups available to you are police and reporters.
The funniest ones are the ones who have watched To Catch A Predator on t.v. already.
A friend of Leisure Lad's says that in society's continual bid to control sex. the shame and blame have shifted from the young woman to the man. There has to be an outcast in all this, and now it is the older male.
Interesting idea.

Dateline is suffering a little bit from tunnel vision.
The predators they catch are kind of sucked in. They may or may not be out there trolling. They just happen on the bait, and go with it. They may not even think they are really talking to a 14 year old girl.
However the real dangerous creeps are the ones that Dateline will probably not catch. They will hang in chat rooms or whatever and wait for stuff like "All the boys my age are a spaz" or "I wish I could meet more mature people".
I was once a 14 year old boy. If I remember correctly, I was a spaz. So was everyone else. How to to "impress" a girl? Hell if I know. Maybe if I do something stupid I will get noticed!
Hey, at the time it seemed like a good idea. At least I knew somehow that doing something gross was not going to work.
What 14 year old girl is not more mature than most of the boys her age? Nobody tells us guys how to act! We can not read minds! We are not smart enough to read chick magazines and learn stuff! We learn through trial and error. Mostly error. Hell I STILL screw it up sometimes, and I am 32!
Anyhow, the predator will pick up on that. And being adults, they know how to not be a spaz. They have money. And a car. And so on. A 25 year old guy that other 25 year old women would write off as a looser or unimpressive can be very impressive to a 14 year old girl.
Those guys, Dateline will probably never catch. Hopefully SOMEONE will.

Now wait a minute. You can't say they are sucked in because they show up in person. Sometimes they drive three hours. That's a little bit more than being sucked in.
Yea, they need to be investigated. But what Dateline does not disclose, or at least I have never heard them disclose it, is the bait.
Are there photos of the girl posted? Not pornographic pictures, just regular photos or something. If so then that is creepier. If not then who knows what they were thinking they would meet.
Does the bait instigate the chat? Does she wait for a creep to contact her? What does the bait type? This kind of thing is important.
I am not saying Dateline is doing a bad thing here. They are doing a public service. I do not feel too sorry for the people that show up at the traps.
All I am saying is they are unlikely to catch the serial predators.
But at the end of the day, the people they bust brought it on themselves.
How do these cases do in court? Do they hold up? If the "minor" you are sending material to turns out to be an adult undercover cop - were you really breaking the law?
Good thing I'm the other way around - I like older women. Plenty of mature ladies that are on the net looking for action and it's all legal :)
